About the event
The Goldfish Council is prepping for an awesome event. This is a fun grow out competition for hobbyist to try their hand at grooming and digital showing.
After a survey of last years’ grow out participants and a Board meeting discussion we chose Oranda’s as the grow out event. We had planned on importing small fish from China with the help of our board connections. This winter we met with Andrew Lohrman (fishbreeder and aquaculture specialist) at Mount Parnell Fisheries, Inc. Mount Parnell Fisheries, Co. is the oldest Goldfish and Koi Breeding Hatchery in the United States, since 1923. Mount Parnell Fisheries, Co. is now a silver level sponsor of The Goldfish Council.
